Jo and Matt got in touch towards the end of 2014 to esquire about me being their wedding photographer. They found me through their friends Claire and Ian, who you might remember rocked that Green Wedding Dress early last year. I didn’t get to meet Jo until a couple of days before hand, when I attended their wedding rehearsal at St Anselms Church. Seeing Matt and Jo together you could immediately tell they were made for each other, and clearly had a loving and supportive bunch of friends and family around them.
The ceremony was held at the quaint St Anselms Church in Dartford. It has those beautiful lines that a lot of the more modern churches have. Together with their closest friends and family, Matt and Jo got married before moving on to their wedding reception at the stunning Penshurst Place
Penshurst Place in Penshurst, Kent is a wedding photographers dream. Just about every where you turn there are new things to photograph. Whilst I could try and describe Penshurst Place, I think they describe it better on their website
“Penshurst Place is a stunning award-winning and exclusive wedding venue in the heart of Kent. For centuries it has been the backdrop to acts of chivalry and romance and a long tradition of sumptuous hospitality, hosting royalty as well as inspiring poets to write some of the most beautifully romantic verse.”
It certainly is a stunning venue, complimented by their wonderfully friendly and welcoming staff. During the evening a small sign was placed by the entrance to the gardens to say that they were closed after 6pm. Like the rebel that we were, we went into the garden after 6 to take the absolutely stunning star light shot you’ll see at the end of the post.
