Abbie and Ben got married at the Mercure Hotel in Maidstone, Kent not too long ago and chose me as their wedding photographer.

I always find, people seem to be less stressed when everything is being held at one venue. Getting to the ceremony on time, usually takes a stroll down the stairs, and it can sometimes work out cheaper than hiring wedding transport.

As a wedding photographer in Maidstone, Kent you’re always looking for that one shot, the money shot, to truly round off your day. Well, Abbie and Ben’s wedding certainly presented one of those. The Mercure has these string lights running through the trees, and we went outside in the evening to do a few shots under them. As Abbie and Ben went back in to the hotel, I noticed a mist had rolled in across the fields behind the hotel. It was too good an opportunity to pass up. Abbie and Ben were absolutely troopers and came back outside in the freezing cold so that we could capture an amazing shot under the moonlight, with the fog in the background.

It was an absolute blessing to be asked to shoot their wedding. They are such a lovely young couple, and their whole wedding party were full of some truly lovely lovely people. Although the weather gods were against us it certainly didn’t dampen their spirits.
