On the approach to  Rebecca and Marcus’ big day, stark weather warnings were in place. We we were in for some horrendous weather around Kent and the South East. Luckily for this Wedding Photographer, it held off. Instead we were left with some gloriously moody looking skies in Romford.

The ceremony took place at St Bede Catholic Church in Romford, and it is an interesting building to photograph. Unlike our typical oldey timey churches, this was a touch more modern. I have to confess to being a little in love with the inside of the roof of the church.

To pick up the guests and ferry them to the reception venue, Rebecca and Marcus had hired a big gold Double Decker Bus which proved a hit with their friends and family. The reception venue, Marylands Golf Glub in Romford, was a wedding photographers dream to photograph. A rustic barn which had been beautifully decorated by the couple and looked amazing.

Rebecca and Marcus little girl suffers from severe food allergies, as does one of the bridesmaids. In order to help raise awareness of this serious condition and to support the charity Allergy UK they decided to take part in Allergy UKs “Give it Some Welly” campaign, which happened to coincide with their wedding day. To do this, they held a small fundraiser on the night, with everyone donating money and wearing wellington boots.
