Last year, I was booked to go and shoot an engagement session for a couple over in Iceland with a view to doing their Wedding Photography in Iceland this year. Unfortunately, the couple split. As sad as it is, I had already booked my flights and hotel and was all ready to fly out. Not wanting to waste an opportunity, I put a shout out on Reddit to see if anyone was around at the same time I was for a photo shoot and Jeffery and April came to my rescue.
Iceland is stunning! No qualms about it, it is one of the most stunning places I have ever been. If you’re getting married out there, you couldn’t ask for a more beautiful place to tie the knot. The scenery is stunning, and just about everywhere you turn is like a postcard. I did learn one valuable lesson from my time in Iceland…if you don’t like the weather, don’t worry as it’ll change in about 5 minutes. When we landed in Iceland it was a clear natural beauty of a place. Woke up from sleep four hours later to a foot of snow. From talking to the locals it seems this kind of thing is pretty common and the weather is pretty changeable.
I have to say, Iceland is on my bucket list of places to Photograph a Wedding. If you are planning on getting married in Iceland you HAVE to get in touch with me so that I can come and photograph your wedding in Iceland. I have so many ideas for amazing wedding photos out there, and it’s only a short hop on a plane for me to come and do your Wedding Photography in Iceland
