Kirsty and Simon were married on 11th July 2015 at St Mary The Virgin Church in Upchurch, Kent and then partied with friends and family at the stunning Ferry House Inn on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent.
The Ferry House Inn is a beautiful 16th Century Country Public House sitting alongside the Swale Estuary in the peaceful hamlet of Harty, on the Isle of Sheppey. It makes a stunning venue to hold a wedding or celebration
I think its fair to say that Kirsty and Simons wedding was all about DIY touches and rustic themes. From hay bales outside for guests to sit on, too hand made bunting and village fete style touches. For the first time ever, I also got to work with the wonderful Guy Wade, a seriously fantastic Toastmaster. He helped the reception run like a dream and even helped set up the group shots.
This was my first time shooting at Ferry House, and it was a fantastic backdrop to a lovely wedding day. From the venue, you can walk down onto the estuary, and as I learned, just because it looks like you can stand somewhere, doesn’t mean you wont sink into the mud and ruin your favourite boots. I always think its the staff that make any venue, and the staff here were lovely and welcoming.
So without further ado, here’s Kirsty and Simons big day!
