Leah and George. What can I say? These two were absolutely hilarious. Leah, is a pretty bad ass wedding photographer herself so as you can imagine, the pressure was on! Not helped by the fact that the best man kept telling me there was a ton of pressure 🙂

Parklands, Quendon Hall Essex, is a  Grade I listed 17th century house, set in over 100 acres of picturesque deer park, and a world apart from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I have to admit, I did try and sneak into the deer park, however the deer ran as soon as I got in there. There is an absolute ton of land around Quendon Hall, and everywhere you go is so very picturesque. The inside has that grandeur that old manor houses tend to have. With art deco features, yet complimented with modern elegance, it’s an absolutely beautiful venue for a wedding.

I think it’s fair to say that Leah and George had a pretty amazing wedding party. The reception itself had touches of Leahs South African roots and was beautifully decorated to compliment the ambiance of the beautiful marquee at Quendon Hall. It was an incredibly bright sunny day, but luckily not too hot that you felt uncomfortable. Leah, did her own make up by watching a youtuber give a make up tutorial. Needless to say I think she nailed it.

The boys were over the moon with the arrival of a Ferrari for them to play with, although I think I speak for them all when I say they didn’t want to give it back. They even had to go out and fawn over it again after the wedding as it was that awesome.

The evening was a fine affair, with some shapes being cut on the dance floor by everyone. Leahs son, and a couple of friends played the first dance music and it really added a special touch to what was a beautiful intimate wedding.

All in all, it was a beautiful day to be in Essex photographing a wedding. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to shoot there again some day.
