Working in the wedding industry, you tend to have a bit of a sucky social life. You don’t get to see your friends at weekends, and have to socialise during the week. That doesn’t really bother me too much, I love being a wedding photographer. What it does mean though, is that you end up becoming quite close to some of the other wedding suppliers you meet out and about. Jack and Deb, are two of these people.
Jack and Deb both run Kent Discos. A fantastic Dj/Entertainment company based in Kent. Over the years they have become great friends of mine, and I was absolutely bowled over when they asked me to be their wedding photographer.
The wedding took place at the stunning Orangery at Turkey Mill in Maidstone. It’s a hidden gem round the back of Mote Park and located just off of the A20 in Maidstone, Kent. It is a wedding photographers dream, with a lake, stream and beautiful grounds. The reception room had been decorated with a music theme. With records as place mats and even centerpieces and guitars as signing boards, the decor of the wedding really suited the couples musical background.
I think it’s safe to say, it was a bit of an emotional affair. With our Groom Jack shedding a few tears as his wonderful children and his beautiful wife to be walked up to start their future together. All in all, it was an absolutely beautiful day, and I felt honoured to be a part of it.
