Stephen and Stephanie were my last wedding of 2015, and they got married at one of my favourite wedding venues. Cooling Castle Barn. Cooling always go all out with their Christmas decoration, and this year was no exception. I had seen a sneak peek of this years design on Twitter, but seeing it in the flesh was even better! As ever the staff at cooling were wonderfully friendly and welcoming.

Winter weddings are always a bit of a challenge. Shorter days mean having to get group and portraits done in record time, luckily for me S&S and their wedding party were absolutely bang on it and we managed to get everything done and get in to eat right on time!

I think it’s safe to say, it was an emotional wedding. Our groom Stephen shed a few tears of joy as his bride walked down the aisle and Steph laughed her way through most of the ceremony. I see a lot of speeches over the course of the year, and you tend to hear the same old jokes from best men. Stephens best man, broke the mold. His “This is your life” presentation style speech about the groom was fantastic. Lots of photos of a young Stephen, complete with hilarious anecdotes of their youth.

As lovely and romantic the bride and grooms first dance was, I have to say the father/daughter dance stole the show. Stephs dad sure can pull some shapes on the dance floor!

On a more geeky note, I bought myself an iPad Pro last month. I’m always sat at a computer working, and thought the iPad might let me get away from the desk and still blog, edit, etc etc. So this is the first blog post I’ve compiled purely on the iPad, on Christmas Day, whilst the family mess around setting up the table for dinner. Will I do it again? I think so, I don’t think you can completely move to an iPad pro for blogging. Things compiling the images and resizing the is a desktop/laptop task, but you can definitely do the leg work on their and then finish everything off on the iPad.
